The soup cycle

While researching the needs of local shelters and soup kitchen operations in Stockholm, It was clear that people involved in these initiatives needed a base to work out of and that many homeless people felt the need to be inside.

We based our work around the organization "Soup Kitchen Stockholm" who later recieved our work and put it into use. Many of the people working the the soup kitchen are young and without a drivers license, so we built a bicycleable, pullable and expandable kitchen.

We wanted to express a worthy place to be by designing something aethetically compelling. The walls are made out of semi transparent channel plastic. Making it a lightweight structure and at the same time creating a glowing beacon at nighttime.
